My name is Ronald James Wilcox, I was born on August 22 1972. I was raised in Delaware Ontario for 17 years, Moved to Lucan Ontario then to St.Marys.

 I graduated from Regina Mundi College in London, Accepted at Fanshawe College and St.Clair College in Windsor for Fine furniture design and repair. Due to work available I decided to stay in this area and continue my woodworking on the side.

  I currently own my onw business specializing in Furniture Refinishing from old to new.

While in St,Marys i met my wonderful wife Lisa, we have 2 children (Steven 8, Sharla 5). While in St.Marys I was voted in to sit on the Board of Directors for the Townhouse complex we lived in. I occupied that spot for 3 years.

 We moved to Parkhill almost 5 years ago to be closer to my family (mother still reside here). We purchased a house here and have been renovating it since.

  I currently am a very active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #341 (Parkhill) I sit on the newly constructed Finance commity. I volunteer over 100 hours a year at the legion. I feel community involvement with the legion is very important, as this is for OUR vets, the ones that  put their lives on the front lines to give us what we have today.  Being involved to keep the legion open as we are loosing our vets each year, keeping it open shows them that we still respect the sacrfice they indurred for ALL OF US.

 Currently I am the President of the Parkhill Dart League and a vollenteer helper for the Junior Dart League.

 I enjoy supporting all the functions in town if it promotes Parkhill or helps out any of the community business. I beleive that  our own Fire Department does a wonderfull job but they need more support from the town to keep their units updated and to possibly hire a few more volenteers. This is a major issue as one day this may be My house they are responding to.

I have enjoyed politics for many years , and just recently have decided that I would like the opertunity to sit on council, as I feel I have lots to contribute to Parkhill, the town I CALL HOME.

Some of My intrest include Darts (both fun leagues and tournaments (Zone shoots for the legion), Spending time fishing with my children, Racing, Biking and just all round relaxing and raising my children to  be the best they can.

I realize I am running for council against a very well educated and well respected Cheryl Norman, And I beleive she has done a fine Job, But I also feel its time for a change, and to have the opertunity to sit on council and be " the voice " for our town residents, I take the time to listen to what the people what. I feel that myself , as a counciler must meet with town folk, not just before the elections, but for every 6 months afterwards, take the time to walk around, go to functions and meet with  them, listen to what they have to say, explain to them what has been happening in regards to their previous questions.   I feel one has to ALWAYS be interactive with the people that have voted myself in, And this is what i'm all about. Listening to our residents!
